The town offers an extensive array of licensing, records, and informational services for its residents. Available licenses and permits encompass marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, dog licenses, block party permits, peddler/solicitor licenses, and racing/wagering licenses. Additional services include the processing of passport applications and the maintenance of town records and archives. Property taxes are prepared and collected from residents of the Town of Smithfield from January until June 30th, after which all paperwork is forwarded to the Madison County Treasurer's Office.
