This initiative provides short-term emergency accommodation for those facing homelessness, including basic needs like beds, meals, clothing, and access to showers and restrooms. The Department of Human Services also offers case management and programming, along with transportation support for shelter guests to attend appointments such as job interviews and medical visits, which may include bus passes. During Code Blue in Monroe County, a warming center is available.
Intake Procedure: Reach out to the Monroe County Department of Human Services for standard placement. During Code Blue, contact HOM directly to check bed availability. For transportation assistance, individuals may need to prove limited financial means.
Fees: Services are provided at no cost, including free RTS transportation to Warming Centers. Please call for details on the transportation program.
