The center delivers dental hygiene services to the public, ensuring optimal patient care through established procedures. The Radiology Department employs the latest technology for all radiologic tasks, including routine radiographs, panoramic imaging, and digital radiography. All treatments are overseen by registered dental hygienists and dentists from the State University of New York. The Dental Hygiene Care Center adheres to CDC and ADA standards to ensure the safety of students, faculty, staff, and the public. Services offered include: Comprehensive Medical History; Oral Cancer Screening; Blood Pressure Monitoring; Home Care Guidance; Nutritional Counseling for Dental Health; Non-Surgical Periodontal Treatments; Scaling (including quadrant scaling); Periodontal Assessments; Root Planing; Selective Polishing; Fluoride Treatments; Periodontal Maintenance; Pit and Fissure Sealant Applications; Radiographs/Digital Imaging; and Tooth Whitening. Services are provided to the public at a minimal fee, which helps cover the Care Center's operational costs.
