This initiative provides meals and nutrition-related services in group environments, aimed at maintaining the health of older Americans and minimizing the necessity for more expensive medical treatments. In addition to meals, the program includes nutrition screening, educational resources, and personalized nutrition assessments and counseling as needed. It also fosters social interaction and offers meaningful volunteer opportunities, enhancing overall health and wellness. Meals are available at various locations across Nassau County; please contact the Office for the Aging for specific locations and further information.
