Adult Learning Center

The initiative aims to assist adults in achieving their fullest potential as learners, parents, consumers, and engaged citizens by leveraging education and technology. It provides a variety of courses, including English for Speakers of Other Languages, Adult Basic Education, General Education Development Test (GED® Test) preparation, and the National External Diploma Program. Additionally, the Long Beach Literacy Zone and Family Welcome Center offer assessment, case management, and supportive services. The available services encompass ESOL classes, GED preparation, Adult Basic Education, academic counseling, family literacy programs, social service referrals, and case management. The welcome center evaluates participants' needs, aspirations, and educational barriers, guiding families toward overcoming poverty.
