This program delivers tailored information and referrals to individuals with physical disabilities who are in need of assistive technology devices to enhance or sustain their functional abilities. It aids in assessing eligibility through Medicare, offers referrals for evaluations, and discusses specific devices. The initiative, part of the Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities, helps individuals select, acquire, and utilize assistive technology that meets their specific needs. It is a collaborative effort between the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County and the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Suffolk County.
