This program provides federal assistance for seniors (65 and older), individuals who are blind, and those with disabilities, administered through local Social Security Offices. Recipients of SSI automatically qualify for Medicaid and might also be eligible for SNAP and Emergency Assistance to Adults (EAA), along with additional services available through local district offices.
