Planned Parenthood Of Central And Western New York, The Connection

This is a complimentary after-school drop-in center located in Niagara Falls, catering to adolescents between the ages of 11 and 19. The program is facilitated by the Connection Coordinator, Teen Peer Program members, and Community Trainers who organize interactive discussions, educational workshops, cooking classes, book clubs, and chances for youth to enhance their leadership abilities within the community. Teen participants have a say in selecting and planning contests, field trips, and other activities. They can also use the space for studying, completing homework, or simply unwinding in a secure environment while participating in structured programs. Daily meals or snacks are provided. Additionally, members gain from informal mentoring, tutoring, access to a video game lounge, service learning opportunities, character development, job readiness training, connections with employers, college preparation, media production, and computer and printer facilities.

Intake Procedure: Interested individuals can walk in and fill out a straightforward application with parental or guardian consent.
