Medical Answering Services (Mas, Medicaid Transportation)

To arrange Medicaid transportation, you should call 866-932-7740. When scheduling, public transportation trips need to be booked five (5) days ahead, long-distance trips require seven (7) days, and other trips should be scheduled at least three (3) days in advance. You can schedule by calling 866-932-7740, sending a fax to 315-299-2786, or arranging transportation online. Medical providers and social services caseworkers are also able to schedule Medicaid transportation for eligible individuals. Please have the following information ready: your name, date of birth, address, contact number, reason for transportation, physician's name, appointment date, time, location, preferred transportation vendor, and any special instructions for the trip. To file a complaint regarding MAS transportation, contact the Department of Health at 518-473-2160 and select option 1, or email MedTrans@health.ny.gov. For scheduling a ride, you can also call 2-1-1. Medicaid covers the fees.
