Provide support to individuals who are beneficiaries of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Safety Net Assistance in their efforts to apply for and qualify for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). This includes helping them secure essential medical documentation and evaluations necessary for their SSI application. When appropriate, referrals to Legal Aid Services are made.
Intake Procedure: Assistance is available through in-person visits and telephone appointments.
Fees: There are no charges for this service, which is offered by the TA Employment Program in collaboration with the Department of Social Services.
