This initiative serves as a substitute for inpatient psychiatric care by offering safe and supportive community houses where individuals can receive person-centered peer support and retreat for up to seven days during emotional or near crisis situations. Guests have the freedom to self-refer and can come and go as they please, enjoying 24/7 access to peer counseling, support, and educational resources to navigate challenging times. A mobile response team is also available for residents of Dutchess County. The Hospital Diversion Houses have successfully aided many individuals in regaining their well-being while preserving their independence within the community.
