The Sanctuary serves as a refuge for homeless and runaway youth between the ages of 12 and 17, as well as those requiring respite services. Managed by The Children's Village since 2009, it is situated on the main campus in Valhalla, NY. The program includes transportation from anywhere in Rockland County to the shelter, as well as to school, medical appointments, and other necessary services. Additionally, The Sanctuary provides individual, family, and group counseling that promotes parental or guardian involvement, along with information, referrals, outreach to local youth, and aftercare planning.
