The town offers a diverse array of licensing, record, and informational services to its residents. Available licenses and permits encompass marriage licenses, hunting/fishing/trapping licenses, disabled parking permits, dog licenses, block party permits, peddler/solicitor licenses, and racing/wagering licenses. Additional services include the processing of passport applications and the maintenance of town records and archives. Property taxes for residents of the Town of Potsdam are prepared and collected from January until May 31st, after which all documentation is forwarded to the St. Lawrence County Treasurer's Office.
