Long Island Talking Book Library

This Subregional Library, part of the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, offers a collection of books and magazines that have been recorded on cassettes for eligible individuals and organizations. It also provides special playback devices, catalogs, and various library services. The library features a Reading Equipment, Aids and Devices (READ) Center, showcasing adaptive reading tools available by appointment. It caters to residents of Long Island of all ages who experience visual or physical challenges. Services are available through public libraries, in-person visits to the agency, or via postage-free mail.
