Ralph G. Reed Middle School

The program caters to adults aged 21 and above, offering a range of English as a New Language (ENL) classes that cover Conversational English, Listening/Speaking, Communication Skills, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Writing, tailored to meet community needs. Additionally, there is a General Educational Development (GED) preparation program designed for out-of-school adults to acquire the skills needed to pass the TASC Test. The Central Islip Adult Education Program also includes various medical career training courses in partnership with the Lighthouse Resource Center, Inc., such as EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Insurance Billing & Coding, C.P.R. Training, Medical Assistant, and Medical Administrative Assistant. Other course offerings for adults include Cooking, Cake Decorating, Basic Computer Course, Job Preparation and Training, Swimming for Children and Adults, Electricity, Plumbing, and Medical Training Classes.
