LINK is a focused, short-term crisis intervention initiative designed to support families facing crises by stabilizing their home environment and linking them to community therapeutic resources for continued assistance. The program employs a psychoeducational strategy that incorporates cognitive, behavioral, and client-centered methodologies. It aims to enhance family and individual functioning by equipping families with essential skills to stay united and avert psychiatric hospitalization for children and adolescents in Suffolk County. Referrals primarily come through Suffolk's Children's Mobile Crisis Team and Stony Brook University Hospital's Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP). Access to LINK is also available through all Suffolk County Emergency Rooms, WellLife Network, and Suffolk County Mental Health Clinics.
Intake Procedure: Clients are encouraged to call the agency for more information.
Fees: No cost.

- Youth aged 5-18 who reside in Suffolk County and are at imminent risk of psychiatric hospitalization, with a referral from a licensed psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner, are eligible.
