Dix Hills Site

This initiative provides therapeutic preschool and nursery services for children between the ages of 2.5 and 5 years. It focuses on educating children with identified disabilities and developmental delays alongside their typically developing nursery school classmates. The program includes evaluations and services in special education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, music therapy, vision therapy, counseling, social work, and psychological services. Parental consent for evaluation is required through the local school district. For infants and toddlers aged birth to 3 years, in-home evaluations are conducted. Eligible children receive services in natural settings such as home, community, or daycare facilities through the Early Intervention Program, as sanctioned by the Suffolk County Division of Services for Children with Special Needs.
