Tecumseh Elementary School

This initiative caters to children and teenagers aged 5-18 who are diagnosed with significant emotional disorders requiring substantial psychiatric assistance. The diagnostic categories encompass a range of conditions, including attention deficit, anxiety, schizophrenia, paranoia, and affective autism spectrum disorders. Services offered include 6:1:1 or 8:1:1 placements with qualified support staff at the Sayville Academic Center, as well as 8:1:1 placements at Sequoya High School and Jefferson Academic Center. The program provides psychiatric, rehabilitation, social work, and psychological services. Students who have progressed beyond the need for intensive psychiatric care can stay at their centers and receive counseling from Eastern Suffolk BOCES personnel.
