The soup kitchen is open every Tuesday at 5pm and serves as a volunteer-driven initiative located in Fellowship Hall. Each food preparer possesses a valid Food Handlers Certificate from Suffolk County, and the kitchen is licensed by the Suffolk County Department of Health. The kitchen offers nutritious meals to seniors, families, and individuals on both Tuesdays and Thursdays in a welcoming atmosphere, serving around 160-200 meals weekly. While meals are served at 5:00 pm, guests can arrive as early as 3:00 PM to escape the weather, with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or cold drinks available. Anyone in need of a hot meal is welcome, and special meals can be accommodated for food allergies or dietary preferences, such as vegetarian options.
