This initiative assists homeless and transient youth and young adults, particularly those who have left school, in transitioning from reliance to self-sufficiency. Participants can access a range of services including outreach support, help in finding safe housing, intensive case management, training in independent living skills, crisis intervention, and parenting skills training. The program also offers paid apprenticeships aimed at equipping them with the skills needed for unsubsidized employment. Additionally, it features a Housing Scholarship program and a transitional living program within the Youth Outreach Program, which provides scattered site apartments for homeless and transient youth and young adults. Rent and utilities are covered for 12 to 18 months while participants receive services and support to develop skills for maintaining stable housing and to identify and pursue educational and career paths that lead to a sustainable income, ultimately fostering their integration as productive community members.
