This initiative provides a one-time credit on utility bills for low-income customers affected by unpaid bills. Customers already enrolled in the Energy Affordability Program (EAP) will receive this credit automatically. Individuals can contact the program to check their eligibility or to enroll. The credit will cover outstanding utility bills that have accumulated up until May 1, 2022. Additionally, any new low-income applicants who join the EAP before December 31, 2022, will also qualify for this bill credit. It's important to note that participants of the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) are automatically eligible.
