The YWCA of Yonkers has been awarded a grant to implement and oversee Gun Violence Prevention Initiatives throughout seven zip codes in Yonkers, targeting individuals aged 18-24. This initiative includes support for job training and placement, staffing for community activity interventions in areas with high gun violence rates, and the enhancement of Gun Violence Intervention Programs.
