Options counselors offer support to individuals in making well-informed choices about long-term care. They assess personal strengths, needs, preferences, and unique circumstances. Counselors provide insights into support strategies, action plans, and options available within the community. Options Counseling can serve as an independent service or may lead to Older Americans Act Case Management (OAA), which assists those requiring ongoing support to maintain independence. Care coordinators play a role in problem-solving, advocacy, and connecting participants with resources and community support to improve quality of life and future planning for later years.

Fees: There are no fees for this service.

- Eligibility for Options Counseling includes individuals aged 60 and older, adults with disabilities, veterans, and their caregivers, while OAA is available for those aged 60 and older.
