The program undertakes investigations concerning fraud allegations within ODHS-managed programs, emphasizing issues of client eligibility and claims against ODHS providers and contractors. For client benefits fraud, individuals can report suspected fraud linked to state benefits such as the Oregon Health Plan, EBT cards, food assistance, cash aid, or childcare benefits. Provider fraud reports can be submitted regarding the Oregon Health Plan, Oregon's Medicaid program. Additionally, any fraud or misuse of resources by ODHS employees can be reported. Investigators collaborate with ODHS Field Office staff, county prosecutors, and relevant law enforcement agencies as needed. The Coordinator compiles a report for the Investigations Unit, where substantiated criminal cases are assessed for potential prosecution. To maintain confidentiality, no feedback is provided to the reporting party regarding the investigation's outcome. Reports of client fraud can be submitted online or via mail to the Fraud Investigations Unit, PO BOX 14150 Salem, OR 97309. Provider fraud can also be reported online or mailed to the ODHS Office of Program Integrity, 3406 Cherry Ave NE, 2nd Floor, Salem, OR 97303. For reporting ODHS Employee Fraud, individuals should contact the hotline. It is advised to use only one reporting method to prevent duplication, as all reports are managed by the Client Fraud Hotline Coordinator. Complaints can be made anonymously, and fraud must be reported in the state where it occurred. There are no associated fees.
