• Families with children under 18 in their custody (or plans for reunification) - OR - those in their third trimester of pregnancy (28 weeks or 7 months) with ties to Multnomah County (such as being displaced, having children in school, a job, or service providers in the area) AND meeting one of the following conditions: - Currently in an emergency shelter, transitional housing, agency-paid motel, or an unsuitable living situation (like a car, streets, tent, or abandoned building) - Living doubled up (with family or friends without being on the lease, unsafely doubled up, or in overcrowded conditions) and at risk of literal homelessness within 14 days - Housed, including self-paying at a motel, and facing imminent homelessness within 14 days or having received a court eviction notice - In an institution (like jail, hospital, or treatment facility) and at risk of becoming homeless within 14 days - Fleeing domestic violence without resources or support for safe, permanent housing. HOUSEHOLDS ON A LEASE: Families currently on a lease without an eviction notice are not eligible and should seek rent assistance. YOUTH: Pregnant youth or those under 18 with children are not eligible; assistance should be sought through the Coordinated Entry System for Youth. PETS: Pets are allowed, but the number and type permitted may vary by shelter. If a shelter space is offered, the caseworker will coordinate the best shelter option for the family and their pets.
