This service connects individuals with counselors for emotional support and various services through text and online chat. Veterans can reach out to a crisis counselor by texting 838255 or by filling out the veteran chat form.
Intake Process: To access the chat form, text 988 or visit the website. Veterans can engage with a crisis counselor by texting 838255 or using the chat form. A brief pre-chat survey must be completed.
Costs: There are no fees involved.
