This initiative supports individuals receiving DSHS public assistance in acquiring a Washington State ID card at a lower cost from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to obtain the card for just $5.
Intake Procedure: You can either call or visit any Community Service Office.
Fees: The cost for the card is $5.

- Eligible individuals include anyone receiving public assistance from DSHS, such as financial and food assistance. Those under 25 without a permanent address can confirm their eligibility at the time of ID issuance without needing a DSHS letter.
