This service provides short-term, intensive residential mental health treatment in an open setting for those moving from locked care. It includes both individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, structured activities, community outings, and support for independent living skills. Additionally, nursing and psychiatric care are provided, which encompasses medication monitoring and management, to help clients reintegrate into community life.
Intake Process: A referral is necessary, which should be arranged through the Santa Cruz County Behavioral Health system. To begin the referral, contact Santa Cruz County Behavioral Health at 800-952-2335.

- Adults aged 18 and older are eligible, provided they have active Medi-Cal coverage or qualify for County Indigent Funding, and have a diagnosed mental health disorder causing significant functional impairment or a high risk of deterioration.
