This program is focused on recruiting and assessing families who are interested in adopting children currently in the care and custody of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call, and the intake line can accept collect calls.
Fees: There are no associated fees.

- There are no limitations for general adoption. For Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, and is either in state-funded foster care or eligible for federal adoption assistance.
