This program recruits and evaluates families who want to adopt children under the care of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should call; the intake line is available for collect calls.
Fees: There are no fees associated with the process.

- There are no limitations for general adoption; however, for Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, and is either currently in state-funded foster care or eligible for federal adoption assistance.
