The program provides long-term rental assistance to eligible households through the Housing Choice Voucher Program, which was formerly referred to as Section 8. It is important to note that the Housing Authority does not own any properties, and clients are required to find their own approved housing options.

- Applicants must provide proof of residence and their household income cannot exceed 50% of the area's median income as determined by HUD. Rent contributions should be between 30% and 40% of the household's gross adjusted income, and the chosen housing unit must be reasonably priced and pass inspection. The current wait time for assistance is between 8 to 18 months.
