- To qualify, clients may receive assistance once per season (from October 1 to September 30) if their total household income is at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), they are responsible for energy costs, and at least one household member is a U.S. citizen or a qualified non-citizen.

- Income Verification — Proof of ALL income received by all household members in the month before the appointment or submission of the application. Proof of any child support and/or alimony paid out of the home in the month before the month of the appointment; Photo ID — Photo ID (family members 18 and over); Social Security Card — Social Security Numbers for all household members; Proof of recent medical expenses (if applicable); Birth Certificate — Proof of citizenship for at least one household member
