Huntington Head Start And Early Head Start

Head Start features multiple program choices, such as preschool in a classroom setting for either 3 1/2 hours a day, four days a week, or 6 hours a day, catering to the needs of working families. Additionally, there is a Home-Based program where a Family Educator conducts weekly visits lasting 1 1/2 hours for prenatal mothers and families with children from birth to three years old. Families involved in Early Head Start participate in a socialization group twice a month, emphasizing positive and nurturing interactions between parents and children throughout all services and activities.
