The Medically Complex Children’s Waiver (MCCW) delivers vital services to assist the parents and caregivers of children with medical complexities, aiming to enhance their independence and facilitate integration. Applications are accepted continuously, with funding available for around 900 children. Eligible applicants are placed on a waitlist, and enrollment occurs as openings arise, prioritizing those with the highest confirmed acuity scores.

- Applicants must be 18 years old or younger, have three distinct specialty physicians from different fields, have consulted all three specialists within the last 24 months, exhibit medical complexity affecting three or more organ systems, struggle with age-appropriate daily living activities, achieve a minimum medical complexity score based on various support needs, and possess an SSI Disability Designation or a state disability determination.
