This evidence-based home visitation program is designed for first-time mothers, commencing during pregnancy and extending until the child reaches the age of two. A nurse provides individualized support, guidance, and essential information to foster a healthy pregnancy. Home visits are customized to meet the unique needs of each family and can occur in various comfortable settings, including the family's home, an office, or a park.

- Eligibility varies by local program, but typically families must meet at least one of several criteria, including low income, being a pregnant individual under 21, a history of child abuse or substance abuse, current tobacco use at home, low educational attainment of parents, having a child with developmental delays or disabilities, or having a household member who has served in the US military.
