This initiative aims to provide skills training that fosters independence among adults with disabilities within their homes, families, and communities. The curriculum includes classes on cooking, assertiveness, relationship building, financial management, adapting to disability, and addressing other consumer needs.

- Participants must be at least 18 years old, have a documented disability, and demonstrate that their condition hinders daily living activities, with a reasonable expectation that UILC's services will promote greater independence.
