This service provides official death certificates featuring a raised seal for the past 50 years. For records older than 50 years, individuals can request them through the Utah Division of Archives and Records Service office. Death certificates are essential for claiming insurance payments, accessing stocks and bonds, obtaining veteran benefits, closing bank accounts, collecting retirement funds, executing wills, and conducting genealogical research.
