• To qualify, income must not exceed 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), and countable resources should be $14,100 or less for individuals, or $28,150 or less for married couples living together. Exempt from countable resources are primary residences, life insurance policies, burial plots, vehicles in use, and certain distributions from Alaska Native corporations. Applicants must also be enrolled in a Medicare prescription drug plan (PDP), such as Medicare Part D or a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) that provides prescription coverage.
