This program offers financial support for urgent needs that kinship caregivers experience when a child comes to live with them and continues to assist them beyond the initial period. Kinship families consist of children cared for by relatives other than their biological parents.

- This service is available to kinship families residing in Wahkiakum, Cowlitz, Skamania, Klickitat, and Clark counties, where grandparents or other relatives take care of children whose parents cannot provide care. These arrangements may be informal or involve local child welfare agencies.
