Intake Process: To apply, individuals can call, visit the website, or go to any Community Service Office (CSO). Once an online or paper application is submitted, the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) will send a letter detailing the interview process. Clients seeking emergency financial aid should consult their case manager. Additionally, the phone line includes a callback option (virtual hold) allowing callers to enter their number and receive a return call when it's their turn. Callers may interact with multiple representatives, starting with a navigator who will assess the situation to determine the most suitable person to assist them.
