- To qualify, income must be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL), and countable resources should not exceed $14,100 for individuals or $28,150 for married couples living together. Exempt resources include the primary home, life insurance policies, burial plots, vehicles in use, and certain distributions from Alaska Native corporations. Applicants must also be enrolled in a Medicare prescription drug plan (PDP), such as Medicare Part D or a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) that offers prescription coverage.
