Bellwether develops and oversees affordable apartments and studios ranging from one to four bedrooms across Seattle, with specific income and rental history criteria.

Intake Steps: To begin, follow these three steps: 1) Visit Bellwether's website or call to find property details. On the site, choose "Apartment Finder" and then "Search Washington" to see a list of available units you might qualify for. The website is regularly updated with new unit listings. 2) Once you find a suitable unit, contact the Property Manager using the phone number listed on the website to schedule a viewing. You may need to leave a voicemail. 3) After touring the unit, complete the application given by the Property Manager and adhere to any further instructions provided. Waiting lists are only kept for subsidized units aimed at very low-income households; all other units are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fees: The current application fee is available on Bellwether's website, and rent prices differ by unit.

Eligibility is for households earning 30-80% of the Area Median Income, including those with a Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher or similar rental assistance, as well as those qualifying for subsidized units from Bellwether Housing. Additional screening criteria may apply, and some properties accept pets. Certain properties cater specifically to students, older adults aged 55 or 62 and above, and individuals with disabilities.
