This program offers temporary housing, behavioral health support, and short-term case management for homeless individuals with serious mental health issues and concurrent addictions transitioning from crisis care.

Intake Process: Referrals can be made from King County Crisis and Commitment Services, emergency departments, inpatient psychiatric facilities, evaluation and treatment centers, and the Seattle/King County mental health court. Clients must either reside in King County or have a documented history of using services in the area. They must also fulfill the HUD criteria for Chronic Homelessness or the Health Through Housing criteria for being “at risk” of chronic homelessness. Typically, the wait time for a CRP bed is around two to three weeks. If a client leaves the referring facility before a bed becomes available, the referral will be canceled. Prior to arranging a CRP intake, referring staff must confirm the client’s insurance is current, provide a 30-day supply of medications to our pharmacy, and set up an outpatient mental health intake if the client is not currently receiving services.
