This initiative supports individuals receiving DSHS public assistance in acquiring a Washington State ID card at a discounted price from the Department of Licensing. DSHS case workers will complete a form that clients can present at DOL to obtain the card for just $5.
Intake Procedure: Reach out to or visit any Community Service Office.
Fees: The ID card costs $5.

- Individuals receiving public assistance from DSHS, including both financial and food assistance, are eligible. Those under 25 without a permanent address do not require the DSHS letter and can confirm their eligibility at the time of ID issuance at the licensing office.
