This service offers certified copies of birth and death certificates for anyone born in Washington since 1907 and death certificates for deaths that occurred in King County from 1907. Additionally, it can provide death certificates for all deaths in Washington starting from 2015.

Intake Process: You can order in person at the lobby, with most requests being completed in approximately 30 minutes. Other methods of ordering (mail, fax, phone, or online) usually take about 7-10 business days to fulfill. Order forms for both birth and death certificates are accessible in English and Spanish.

Fees: There are service fees involved. The cost for birth certificates is $25, and for death certificates, it is also $25. Using a credit card incurs an additional charge of $15.50. If orders are placed by mail with payment via check or money order, there is an extra fee of $4. Once an order is submitted, cancellations or refunds are not permitted according to the Revised Code of Washington (RCW 70.58a).
