This initiative facilitates the safe disposal of "sharps" such as syringes, needles, and lancets, providing services that include the removal of sharps from public areas within 24 hours and the availability of secure disposal boxes at six city locations.
Intake Procedure: Residents who encounter a syringe on public property (including sidewalks, parking strips, streets, other public rights-of-way, or city facility grounds) should contact the Illegal Dumping Hotline. For a list of secure drop-off sites for sharps disposal, please visit the website.
Fees: No charges apply.
