This service handles complaints related to unprofessional behavior, such as ethical breaches or a lawyer's incapacity, against attorneys practicing in Washington state. It does not offer legal advice to individuals submitting grievances.

Intake Process: You can request a grievance form and brochure via phone or download the necessary information from the website. Grievances and petitions should be submitted in writing or through the online platform. The disciplinary counsel will evaluate the grievance to determine the appropriate course of action. You will receive an update within two weeks after submitting your grievance. If a decision is made to dismiss your grievance, an explanation will be provided. Should we request a response from the lawyer involved, you will typically receive a copy of their reply and have an opportunity to respond.
