- To qualify for the Dislocated Worker Program, individuals must have lost their job through no fault of their own, be unlikely to return to their previous field, and either be eligible for, receiving, or have exhausted unemployment benefits. The program provides services to help individuals secure quality jobs in high-demand sectors. For the WIOA Adult Program, applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a household income below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. If applicable, they must meet dislocated worker criteria. Priority is given to public assistance recipients, low-income individuals, and those lacking basic skills. Eligibility is assessed through orientation, income verification, and documentation of dislocated worker status if relevant. The WIOA program focuses on job search support and training to help individuals find good employment. To apply, attend WIOA Orientation, receive an application, complete it, and provide necessary identification. Application does not guarantee acceptance and depends on available funding.
