This initiative supports single adults who are temporarily or permanently disabled and cannot work by supplying hygiene items and bus passes. Depending on funding availability, it may also assist with rent, utility bills, and move-in costs. A referral from DSHS is necessary.
Intake Procedure: Applications can be submitted in person at a local DSHS Community Services Office, online via washingtonconnection.org, or by contacting the DSHS Customer Service line. After assessing medical and financial eligibility, DSHS will refer individuals to the regional HEN provider.
Fees: There are no fees associated with this service.

- Adults with low income who cannot work for at least 90 days due to physical or mental disabilities and are not eligible for the Aged, Blind or Disabled cash assistance program; they must also be homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, with eligibility assessed by DSHS.
