This program recruits and evaluates families who wish to adopt children under the care of the Department of Children, Youth, and Families.
Intake Procedure: Interested individuals should make a call; the intake line can accept collect calls.
Fees: There are no associated fees.

- General adoption has no restrictions. For Special Needs Adoption, families must have a child under 18 who is legally free, has special needs, and is either in state-funded foster care or eligible for federal adoption assistance.
